#3 Michael Romero

Michael Romero, is the young cousin to us Nuanez brothers.  Michael’s father, our Uncle Bobby, is our mother’s younger brother.  Michael, believe, it or not, is ONLY 21 years old.  Michael has played with us for the past 3 or 4 years.  Michael is still single, but not for very long if his fiancée and former high school sweetheart, Morgan, has anything to say about it.  Morgan is also great with kids and I cannot thank her enough for ALWAYS pitching in and helping out Susie with our three rug rats.  They all look forward to seeing her at the tournaments.  Thanks Morgan!

Michael has played baseball all of his life, graduating from where else?  Yep, you guessed it - Oceanside High School (Home of the PIRATES). Michael has provided us the youth that our team desperately needs.  He has helped out greatly in the outfield and has even paid his dues, like the rest of us have at one time or another, being Designated Runner.

However, Michael has come into his own the past two seasons.  He has shown that he can hold his own against the likes of a Russ Snow, Cary Weiler, and Travis Price where he went  2-5 with 2 RBIs, including a triple over the left fielders head during last year’s Best of the West Tournament.

This season, Michael will again help us out in the outfield and no doubt at the plate. The funny thing is that Michael is the youngest on the team, but you will always see him with a cooler full of cold beer at the tournaments. I guess he has no choice, being half Mexican and half Irish.
