First and foremost, we, San Diego PrimeTime Fastpitch (formerly San Diego Fastpitch) would like to thank Dan Zupp and his company Helix Electric. Over the past several years, Dan and his company Helix Electric have paid for approximately 50% of our Tournaments. With tournaments costing upwards of $350.00 each, this has allowed us the opportunity to keep costs per player down to a reasonable level. I am not quite sure what Dan’s office looks like, however, over the past few years, he has taken plenty of hardware home (i.e. Trophies, Plaques, etc.) to appropriately decorate his office. Maybe we can convince him of providing us with a photo of his office that we can add to this page. Well Dan?
We would also like to thank Butch Smith, prior owner of the PrimeTime Sports Academy with locations in both Vista, CA and Murrietta, CA. Butch is a friend of my younger brother Jaime Nuanez. Prior to Butch selling both of his business locations, he was generous enough to purchase our new uniforms, hence the name change from San Diego Faspitch to San Diego PrimeTime Fastpitch. Our older San Diego Fastpitch uniforms had absolutely no more mileage in them. They were falling apart left and right. We had to keep collecting them, take them back to where we purchased them so that the numbers and logo could be heat pressed back on, just so we could look half way decent. The new uniforms that Butch provided, a White mesh vest and a Blue mesh vest were a welcomed change and allows us to at least look like a half way decent team on the field, well at least when everyone remembers to where the correct undershirt with the appropriate vest!
For the past 6 years, we have been the ONLY Men’s Fastpitch Team representing the beautiful San Diego, CA. The majority of the teams within our travel league represent the LA and Orange County areas, with some coming from Bakersfield, Riverside, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, etc. The average cost of a tournament is $350.00 each, and with us playing in at least 10 tournaments per year, this can add up quick. Currently, each player is responsible for kicking in $$ to cover the cost of the tournaments that Dan and his company can’t cover, the costs of their hat, undershirt and pants, and the cost of their hotel expenses. Not to mention the gas that it takes to get them there, since ALL of these tournament are minimum of 100 miles from San Diego. Our current schedule also includes 3 tournament in beautiful, but expensive Palm Springs and 2 with maybe a 3rd tournament in NOT so beautiful Lancaster, CA.
